ORIGINS AND ETYMOLOGY

Astro-English: from Astronese, the term koryology makes use of the Greek word “korýfosi” denoting climax or pinnacle and adjoins the suffix -ology denoting a branch of knowledge or area of study to mean “the study of the climax of a species.”
